Buccaneers vs Dolphins Predictions and Picks

Tampa Bay is currently ranked 22nd in passing yards, 20th in rushing yards, 18th in points scored, and 24th in points against. If the Bucs win they have a 64.0% chance of making the playoffs and a loss puts them at 38.0%. Tampa has lost three games in a row and two of those games were against below average teams. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is coming off of a shoulder injury and has struggled. Also, Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans needs only 13 receiving yards to reach 13,000 career yards, so he might be targeted a lot.

Miami is ranked 25th in passing yards, 13th in rushing yards, 22nd in points scored, and 22nd in points allowed. The Dolphins have lost two games in a row and they were both by double digits. One was against a playoff-bound team and the other was against a below average team. The 45 points that they gave up to the Bengals was a season high. Rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers will be making his second career NFL start.  De'Von Achane is third in the NFL in rushing yards and leads the league in yards per carry.

Best Bet: Buccaneers Spread

Tampa needs to win to keep their division title hopes alive. Even though the ship has been sinking for most of the second half of the season, the Bucs can still sneak into the playoffs. The Dolphins' offense is trending down again and the defense struggles to make stops in the red zone. Miami will try to play a spoiler role, but lately they haven't played well on both sides of the ball.
