Mariners vs Rays Predictions and Picks

"Rays starting pitcher Adrian Houser has not been the same pitcher with the Tampa Bay Rays as he was with the Chicago White Sox. He posted a 2.10 ERA with 0.4 home runs allowed per nine innings with the White Sox, and has seen that ERA jump to a 4.81 ERA with one home run per nine innings allowed in five starts with Tampa Bay. Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby ... has not been as effective on the road with a 4.73 ERA with 1.4 home runs per nine innings away from home, compared to a 3.14 home ERA and 0.7 home runs per nine innings allowed. Picks: Rays" — Greg Peterson, VSiN

"I'm on the over in this one here. I get the case to be made for either side in this game, but I think we're getting some runs here. Kirby has had issues at times on the road, and we know how hitter-friendly Steinbrenner Field has been this season. On the other side, Adrian Houser's been shaky at times and had issues in his lone home start as a Ray, and we've seen two high-scoring affairs already in this series. Give me the over." — Chris Ruffolo, Sports Chat Place
